A 4.5m tall ninot represents King Felipe of Spain in a hyper realistic way; gaze, hair and an unwrinkled shirt. It is the joint work of Santiago Sierra and Eugenio Merino presented by the Prometeo gallery in Milan for this year's ARCO (Madrid, February 27 - March 3). The giant wax sculpture built in a fallero workshop and modeled by Merino, is periodically perfumed with Hugo Boss's Dark Blue cologne, which, according to the artist, it´s the one used by the monarch. The piece has the condition of any Ninot, to be burned. By contractual agreement, whoever decides to acquire the sculpture must set it on fire within one year. Image: Courtesy of the artist.
