Pablo Vargas Lugo's solo exhibiton at the Art and History Museum of Guanajuato
the exhibition explores the poetic potential of scientific and mythological representations of celestial bodies in the recent work of Pablo Vargas Lugo.

The upcoming solo exhibition of Pablo Vargas Lugo (Mexico City, 1968), Exceso solar[Solar Excess], will open next Saturday, July 29 at the Art and History Museum of Guanajuato (León, Guanajuato, México).

According to the curator Cuauhtémoc Medina, the exhibition "explores the poetic potential of scientific and mythological representations of celestial bodies in the recent work of Pablo Vargas Lugo. This exhibition connects detailed scientific-technical observations and ancestral rituals through works that substantiate and familiarize the distant and the strange, in a conceptual search and constant technical experimentation. Eclipses, sunspots, and the lunar horizon appear as motifs of peripheral vision and as an investigation of the experience of time."

Until January 7, 2024.
