From September 29 to October 22, Hector Zamora will participate in the collective multimedia exhibition "Encore et En-corps" organized by Images Passages at the Forum Exposition Bonlieu and the baladoir de Bonlieu Scène, in Annecy, France.
The Mexican artist will present two performance videos: Ruptura (2016), presented for the first time at CCBB - São Paulo as part of a solo exhibition, and "O Abuso da Historia" (2014), made in 2014 at Cidade de Matarazzo, in São Paulo.
The former involved the participation of 150 people dressed in black leaning on the railing of the CCB. They carry a book, also black, from which they start tearing out the pages one by one, dropping them in the free space, while the sound of the torn pages invades the room. The second performance took place in a courtyard surrounded by windows, from which huge pots with plants are thrown, bursting into pieces upon impact with the ground. This action resulted in a bed of plants freed from their pots, whose leaves slowly rode towards the sun throughout the show.
