Starting this Friday June 30th, “A provisional theory of the almost unseen”, is a continuation of Chilean artist Claudia Gutiérrez Marfull's research on the ruinous urban landscape and its elements in a state of dissolution. As part of this solo exhibition at Amore (Basel) the artist will present four two-dimensional and three-dimensional textile works focused on the exploration of the city of Basel and its enduring state of reconstruction.
These representations of urban waste, carried out in an artisanal way, seek to establish connections between the temporal and the permanent, the fragility and the delicacy against the sturdy and coarse, in addition to reflecting on the constant improvement of a city as well as the intangible residue of its progress.
