Centrifugal Vibrations

Centrifugal Vibrations

"Centrifugal Vibrations" is the sonorous work of Héctor Zamora. In collaboration with the Angolan musician and composer Víctor Gama the piece explores the movement and sound of traditional Portuguese windmills. With the participation of 24 musicians, the installation was built from ceramic pieces known as búzios, similar to a shell shape and installed in the sails of a ship. The sculpture/sound installation rediscovers and reinvents the various sounds of the wind.
